Dell play an important part in the environment when it comes to disposing of computers and they offer several free options which include taking it to one of over 2000 Goodwill locations in the US, having any Dell equipment collected from your door for free, or taking it to any Staples store in the US.

Computer Recycling Center
The best way to keep your old computers out of the landfills is to give them to the Computer Recycling Centre. If you live within Santa Rosa or San Francisco you can just drop your computers or any other electronic equipment, such as stereos and dvd players, to one of their drop off points. Apple Free Recycling Program
If you have a computer that you want to dispose of, first take a look at the Apple website as they have a recycling program whereby you could get rid of the computer for free as they will send you a prepaid shipping box to send it in and even offer you an Apple Gift Card which can be used against any purchases in the Apple store.
